“An evocative and moving short film”
– The Lab Film Festival
In February 2012, I worked with Barbican Young Filmmakers: a group of 15-25 year olds who share an interest in developing their filmmaking skills and creative networks.
Over the course of four days, the Young Filmmakers created two film poems inspired by the work of the Barbican Young Poets, both exploring the theme of ‘dreams’. My own poem, ‘Waiting in the Small Hours’, became the inspiration for one of these.
The film was conceived, shot and edited over three days, and then screened in Cinema 1 on the fourth day. You can see the other film here.
The films were also shown during The Lab Film Festival in July 2012.
Barbican Young Filmmakers is a Barbican Guildhall Creative Learning Division Project.
